Krash is back! A dip in sales due to two ownership changes had many thinking that Krash would go the way of recent youth mags like Barbie and Smash Hits and close its doors forever, but nothing could be further from the truth!
Hot on the heels of Krash’s announcement that it’s to broaden its distribution across New Zealand, shoot for the #1 spot in Singapore and spread into Hong Kong, Indonesia and Canada, Nuclear Media & Publishing have now announced an unprecedented initiative: SMS magazine purchasing.
With a single premium SMS (to 1973 9999 at a cost of $5.55), boys from Penshurst to the Pilbara will be able to have the next issue of Krash sent direct to their door, alleviating any distribution issues and ensuring that buying Krash is easier than ever.
Expanding on this, boys will also be able to download Krash wallpapers and cool content from May 5, giving fans of the brand a chance to get even more involved with their favourite magazine.
Nuclear Media & Publishing’s Managing Director, Michael Downs, is confident that Krash still has much unrealised potential: “Six months ago Krash was falling behind the 8-ball in this market. Now we can honestly say that we are leading the kid’s market with exciting new initiatives and a return to our tip-on strategy of old that will see us presenting strong value-added product to the market – as well as the best A5 mag in the world, of course! There is still room for us to grow in a declining market, and we will. Just wait to see what we have up our sleeves for our coming few issues. We’ll be implementing strategies that the Australian kids market has never seen before.”
